no company spends 1.1B to acquire another company without identifying a revenue stream. get ready for banner ads and your information to be sold because yahoo is getting something from this merger besides a pathetic attempt at becoming relevant again. spinning the announcement in the same tone as “yay ads!” and ending it in fuck yeah does not magically make us forget that it’s a business decision which is making tumblr creators wealthy.

don’t go all fb on us tumblr and start selling out your users too.
